No, this project is not dead... but it did go to sleep while Matt and Michelle were dealing with their respective servings of crazy-life-stuff.

So what's going on with the comic? After a lot of thought and consideration, we are scrapping the comic in its current form. As much as Michelle loves drawing all those delicious details and being all painterly with the art, she just doesn't have the time and energy it requires to keep up with the updates. And even slower updates were not a option.

But why start over? There were some gaps in the story that were really starting to bug us (or at least bugged Michelle, Matt never really complains much), and this opportunity was too good to not take a second shot at the script. We learned a lot over the last several years, and we think (and certainly hope) to give you a better story and more frequent updates this year.

And when will you see those updates? Well, right now, Michelle is currently rewriting the site to make it easier to maintain - navigation scripts and the sort. She's also exploring a new, simpler style for the comic - you can see some of the art over at our Facebook group page. The plan is to resume updates again in late May or early June.

Are you going to leave the old archive up? For a little while longer, yes. Once we have more to show for the prework effort - character sketches and the sort - we will probably switch over to the new layout and retire the old comic.
